State Financial Aid Programs

Students with Merit Program  (Programa de Ayuda para Estudiantes con Mérito): Supplementary aid aimed at freshmen who have just graduated from high school with a 3.00 GPA and have enrolled full time (12 credits or more).

Supplementary Undergraduate and Graduate Educational Aid Program  (Programa de Ayuda Educativa Suplementaria Subgraduada y Graduada (PAESS)): Supplementary aid aimed to cover legitimate educational expenses of students who demonstrate financial need.

High Honor Students Program  (Programa para Estudiantes de Alto Honor): Scholarship for students with exceptional academic performance who demonstrate financial need and meet all the eligibility requirements of the Board of Higher Education of Puerto Rico.

*Special Fund for Students Ineligible to the Pell Grant by LEU > 600%: Supplementary aid aimed to students who used up or exceeded their lifetime eligibility limitation on the Pell grant, who demonstrate financial need, and meet all the eligibility requirements of the Board of Higher Education of Puerto Rico.


* Subject to availability. Due to how limited the fund is, additional requirements may be taken into consideration, such as GPA, graduation date, and academic load.
