Healthcare Heroes
Grants of up to $500.00 for new enrollment in health programs before June 30
Because the health of Puerto Rico depends on people like you, with your vocation to protect us and serve the country, we have created the Healthcare Heroes scholarship. This scholarship is designed for people who wish to prepare to become healthcare professionals.
The Healthcare Heroes scholarship awards $200.00 to students enrolled in programs leading to a diploma and $300.00 to students enrolled in programs leading to an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree. For the first 100 scholarships applied for, we will award an additional amount of $200.00 to students with special financial needs.
Requirements:
1 – Complete the Healthcare Heroes Scholarship application by June 30.
2 – Be a resident of Puerto Rico.
3 – Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
4 – Enroll in one of the health programs listed below:
Diploma Programs
Practical Nursing with Electrocardiography (EKG)
Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic
Pharmacy Technician
Geriatric Technician
Respiratory Care Technician
Associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree programs
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Care
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Cardiorespiratory Care
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Clinical Sonography
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology
Associate Degree, Pharmacy Technician
Associate Degree, Physical Therapist Assistant
Associate Degree in Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN)
Master of Science in Nursing
For the additional amount, an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0 is required.
Applications will be evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to apply on time, as funds available for these scholarships are limited.
