  • Internet Explorer 11 and Edge
  • Chrome 50 and 51

Download the latest version of your browser directly to your computer. Click on the name of your browser below to go to the download page.

Canvas on Mobile Devices

The Canvas user interface has been optimized for desktop displays, so using the Canvas interface on small devices (such as phones) may not be a pleasant experience. Since Canvas uses some elements of Flash, not all of its features may be supported on mobile devices, especially in mobile iOS.

The National Federation of the Blind granted Canvas the Gold Level Web Certification in 2010.

Universia Peru’s portal (2013) offers 10 tips to become a successful online student.

  1. Organize your time.
    • People who have decided to study online usually have to comply with their job hours. For this reason, it is essential that they know how to organize their free time. If you want to be successful, spend some hours studying, reading, and working on assignments. Nevertheless, it is also important to have an hour of spare time for rest or recreational activities.
  1. Have the necessary materials to study.
    • You should acquire all the necessary materials before beginning your course. Once the program is available, look for the list of required books. This will help you to be prepared with the necessary materials. Usually, most universities have online libraries where you can access hundreds of books and relevant material.
  1. Organize your finances.
    • In addition to the cost of a course, online learning includes some additional expenses. Therefore, in order to avoid financial problems, it is important to get your finances in order before beginning your studies.
  1. Complete the assignments.
    • It is important for you to finish each assignment, even though some may seem boring or unimportant. This will help you to continue moving forward and learning the topics of the course.

  1. Inform others of your busy schedule.
    • Once you enroll in a course, you should explain to the people that surround you that your free time will be limited during the next few months. In order to achieve online learning success, certain moments of your social life must be sacrificed.
  1. Find an ideal place to study.
    • An adequate study setting is essential when it is time to study. You should find a place that is calm and silent with very few distractions and good lighting.
