The Industrial Organizational Psychology Program will train the student in the study of human behavior in the work environment from a scientific perspective and focused on research. Also, the student will develop theoretical knowledge and skills for critical and analytical thinking that promote reinvention strategy for greater profitability in the workplace.

Professional License
The Master’s Degree Program in Industrial Organizational Psychology has available two program options. It’s required to choose the program option prior to be enrolled at the program. The program options and special requirements are the following:
SUPERVISED PRACTICUM PROGRAM OPTION FOR PERSONS WHO WILL BE PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTS: Aimed at students interested in taking the Puerto Rico Psychologists’ Examination and practicing the profession of Psychology.
- Anyone interested in taking the Puerto Rico Psychologists’ licensing examination must enroll in supervised practicum courses (PSYC 5901P y PSYC 6001P) that are equivalent to 500 hours in total.
- According to the Regulations of the Puerto Rico Psychologist Board of Examiners, the number of online courses must not exceed 30% of the total program, and it only applies to courses of a mainly theoretical nature. In order to comply with this regulation, students enrolled in the supervised practicum track may only take the following five (5) courses in the online modality:
- PSYC 5010 – 3 credits
- PSYC 5030 – 3 credits
- PSYC 5040 – 3 credits
- PSYC 5130 – 2 credits
- PSYC 5240 – 2 credits
- Student enrolled in this program option will not be able to take more than 30 percent of the credits in the online modality.
- This program option is only available for NUC University’s on-site campuses and is not available for the Online Division, nor for the South Florida Campus.
SEMINAR – ONLINE PROGRAM OPTION: Aimed at students who will not practice the Psychology profession, who will not present themselves to the public with the title of Psychologist and who are not interested in taking the Puerto Rico Psychologists’ licensing examination.
- In this option, the student must enroll in the Seminar course (PSYC 6000) and the Supervised Practice courses will not be taken.
- Upon completing the degree requirements, student enrolled in this program option will not be able to practice the profession of Psychology, will not be able to present himself to the public with the title of Psychologist and will not be able to apply to take the Puerto Rico Psychologists’ licensing examination.
- Student enrolled in this program option will not be able to transfer to the Supervised Practice program option if have taken and approved more than 30 percent of the credits in the online modality.
